Eller’s Center For Leadership Ethics Welcomes two New Board Members
The Center for Leadership Ethics in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona has recently welcomed two new members to the board of advisors.
Sidy Dieng is currently assistant vice president of claims for GEICO—and just recently celebrated 18 years with them—overseeing all automobile accidents that occur in the Southwest and Northwest Pacific regions of the U.S.
“While I did not attend the University of Arizona and Eller, I feel like I am part of the family because of the close collaboration between GEICO and Eller over the years,” says Dieng. “It has been great working and partnering with Paul Melendez.”
Olivia Romano ’19 BSBA (MIS) is an Eller alumna and currently a senior in the Technology Risk Consulting practice of Ernst & Young, with more than two years of experience completing SOC 1, 2 and 3 reports in IT SOX testing.
"The opportunity to serve on the CLE Advisory Board is a great honor. I first took an interest to the Center for Leadership Ethics when I was a student in Dr. Melendez’s ethics course in 2016," says Romano. "It was that class that gave me an introduction to corporate ethical responsibility and ultimately led to me beginning my career in technology risk consulting at EY. I am thankful that I can continue to make an impact on the Eller campus as an alumni and look forward to connecting with students, faculty and executives around the world on some of the most cutting edge topics."
“Sidy and Olivia are wonderful, supportive and dynamic people and I am very excited that they are board members of the Center for Leadership Ethics,” says Paul Melendez, founder of the Center for Leadership Ethics and University Distinguished Outreach Professor.
The Center for Leadership Ethics brings scholars with diverse backgrounds together to explore, challenge and advance the field of ethical leadership. Through cutting-edge research, education and outreach, members work every day to promote the development of ethical leaders who foster ethical cultures in organizations around the world.
