What We Look For

  • Candidates seeking to change career function or industry through the MBA, to re-enter the workforce at graduation
  • A completed bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Personal qualities demonstrating leadership potential, initiative, involvement, and integrity

Application Deadlines

  • December 15: Round 1
  • January 15 Round 2 + International Student Deadline*
  • February 1: Round 3
  • April 1: Round 4
  • May 31: Final Domestic Student Deadline
  • June 15: EXENDED  Domestic Student Deadline

Application Requirements

A complete application consists of the following items:

  • A completed GradApp application (apply online)
  • $90 Application fee
  • Statement of purpose
  • A professional resumé
  • One professional or one academic recommendation
  • One copy of official transcripts* from each university, college or community college attended
  • Official GMAT/GRE scores - waivers available 

* Unofficial versions of your school documents for initial evaluation purposes. If recommended for admission, submission of official school documents will be required. Refer to the UA Graduate College transcript requirements for more information.

Interviews

Upon an initial screening of an applicant's file, the Admissions Committee determines whether a candidate moves on to the next stage of consideration. Those candidates selected for further consideration are contacted to arrange a Zoom interview.

GMAT/GRE Waiver Eligibility

GMAT waiver available for graduates with strong quantitative academic performance or work experience. Your educational background and professional track record can demonstrate analytical readiness, making the GMAT unnecessary for evaluation.

 

International Applicants

International applicants are encouraged to apply and bring valuable global perspectives to the Eller MBA experience.

English proficiency requirements (for those who haven’t graduated from a U.S. institution):

  • TOEFL: Minimum score of 100
  • IELTS: Minimum score of 7
  • Duolingo: Not accepted by the University of Arizona Graduate College

Scores must be sent directly using school code 4832 and must be taken within two years of your intended start term.

Check the Graduate College’s requirements to confirm if a test is needed.

For visa processing, admitted students must also submit a financial guarantee and required documentation through International Student Services.
