Course Structure
Each course lasts seven weeks, with two fitting in each semester. Materials are available online when you enroll in a course. Besides instructor-designated materials, everything will be downloadable for personal use and reference. You’ll get assignments each week to complete within a set timeframe. The courses will include a variety of active learning opportunities like discussions, chats, labs, extra credit opportunities, quizzes, projects and exams—all of which you’ll receive online.
When you’re accepted into the program, you’ll gain access and instructions for our D2L (Desire to Learn) course management system. That’s also where you’ll upload assignments and conduct online discussions with your instructors and classmates.
Dual Degree
The dual-degree option allows MS MIS students to apply to the MS Cybersecurity program prior to completing their first year of the Online MS MIS. With proper planning, a student can earn a Master’s in MIS (MS MIS) and a Master’s in Cybersecurity (MS Cybersecurity) in eight academic semesters (fall, spring and summer), which is two years and eight months of part-time study.
