The Center for Leadership Ethics in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona will host its 2018 Executive Ethics Symposium at the Phoenix Art Museum (Singer Hall) on Wednesday, September 26 from 7:30 a.m.-9 a.m. Hosted every two years, the symposium is organized around a unique theme: this year’s theme is the ethical implications of artificial intelligence.

The three panelists are founder and CEO of Computers Inc., Chris Matthieu; journalist, industry analyst and content strategist, Lisa Morgan; and Moji Solgi who oversees the Artificial Intelligence organization at Axon. The symposium will include breakfast and a panel discussion.

“According to PwC, AI could contribute up to $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030. While AI holds tremendous promise for improving our lives, it also poses perils to our privacy, security, and safety. Few laws and regulations currently exist to define the boundaries of AI. Now more than ever we need to explore how ethical standards can best channel AI for the betterment of society," says Paul Melendez, found of the Center for Leadership Ethics and professor of practice in management and organizations.
