MIS Career Management for Employers

The MIS department has highly motivated and well-trained graduates from a top 5 ranked department ready to enter the fast-paced business world. There are multiple opportunities for organizations to engage with students and our highly selective, STEM designated program.

Recruit and Connect with MIS Students

If you are looking to recruit MIS students for internship or full-time opportunities, you can post positions on Handshake or reach out to Wendy Wienhoff, Director of MIS Career Management directly.

As a partner, you can get support for your recruitment needs, volunteer to participate in events, or host students at your company.

  • Resume books of our current students
  • Communicate job and internship opportunities to our students
  • Job postings advertised to our students on Handshake
  • Campus visits and interviews
  • Information sessions about opportunities at your company

Volunteer to host a visit at your company to help students gain insights into your company culture, career paths, and broaden their network. Career treks can be in the fall or spring semesters.

Mock interviews allow students to practice their interview skills and receive feedback from an experienced professional. Mock interviews typically take place every fall.

Volunteer to attend events to help students gain connections to industry professionals. Networking events happen in the fall and spring semesters.

Sign-up to mentor students through the University of Arizona’s Bear Down Network

As a sponsor, you can provide financial support for MIS Career Management events, student conference registration, and student travel.

Scholarships allow students to attend conferences to learn about industry trends and also gain access to career fairs for employment opportunities

  • Example: The Grace Hopper Celebration, largest gathering for women technologists

By sponsoring an event, you will provide students access to networking and professional development opportunities.

  • Examples: etiquette dinners, alumni mixers, etc.

Please contact us to discuss your recruiting needs and engagement opportunities.
