Finance Programs
Welcome!
The Eller College of Management is home to the University of Arizona's Finance Department. Our faculty regularly publishes groundbreaking research in the most influential and respected finance journals. Our undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students for careers in corporate finance, investments, banking and real estate.
Experiential Learning and Student Opportunities
In addition to a rigorous and integrated core curriculum taught by leading scholars, students in the finance major have the opportunity to engage in a number of additional opportunities, including the Financial Management Association (the UA chapter of the national organization) and the Investments Club. Moreover, finance students engage in a number of experiential learning activities—including managing a “real” million dollar portfolio (FIN 423/523), the CFA Institutes’ Research Challenge , and the Venture Capital Investment Competition.
The department hosts the Finance Seminar series that brings in leading finance scholars to present research and interact with faculty and graduate students. The department also hosts (in conjunction with the undergraduate programs office) an industry day each semester to give students insights into careers in finance and time with industry professionals.
