MSM/MSBA Dual Degree

Admissions

Candidates must apply separately to and be admitted to both MSBA and MSM programs. 

The student must meet the prerequisite requirements for both degrees.


Degree Requirements

MSM Degree requirements:      33 units of coursework

MSBA Degree requirements:     33 units of coursework

University policy on dual degrees stipulates that a maximum of 50% of the credit hours for the shorter program may be counted toward both degrees. Therefore, the Dual MSBA/MSM degree requires a total of 51 units.

However:   9 units of MSM coursework can be counted toward the MSBA and 
                   9 units of MSBA coursework can be counted toward the MSM

Therefore, to receive the Dual MSM/MSBA degree, the following are required:

18 units of required MSBA coursework 
9 units of coursework taken from the MSBA curriculum to count toward the MSM and MSBA(2)
6 units of coursework taken from the MSM curriculum to count toward the MSM and MSBA(1)
18 units of coursework taken from the MSM curriculum
