The University of Arizona and the Eller College of Management offer several options for course resources and campus tutoring.


Eller Pre-Professional Foundation Courses

The courses below are all Pre-Business Foundation courses used to calculate the foundation GPA as well as required in order to apply to Professional Admissions.

  • The Writing Center offers 25 minute drop-ins for single issues, ideas, etc., for English coursework as well as any writing assignment for other coursework, such as in General Education courses.
  • The Writing Center offers online tutoring (via Zoom) and in-person tutoring at Bear Down Gym and select other campus locations.
  • The Think Tank offers private tutoring sessions for $50 for 60 minutes.
  • You are strongly encouraged to visit your English Professor during Office Hours, generally designated on the syllabus or D2L for your course.  This is a free opportunity to ask your professor direct questions, clarify assignment expectations and get feedback on drafts of your writing.
  • You are strongly encouraged to attend MIS Study Halls to receive guidance from course preceptors and benefit from working with other classmates. Times and locations for the MIS Study Halls are posted in your MIS 111/112 D2L pages.

Professor Neumann and Professor Patton recommend the following:

  • Meet with faculty and teaching assistants on a regular basis or when in need.
  • Form study groups with other students in the course.
  • Attend MIS Study Halls for additional help and guidance.
  • Ask course professors for contact information of Zipperman Scholars for possible tutoring opportunities.
  • The Think Tank offers drop-in and online tutoring, which are free services and do not have a time limit and therefore is handled on a first come first serve basis.
  • The Think Tank offers tutoring by appointment which is either Private ($35 an hour) or Group ($20 an hour per person). Private tutoring can be scheduled online.
  • The Think Tank offers Exam Preps which are two hour course specific preps (Math 112/116).
  • For Math 100, you can visit Pascal's in the Integrated Learning Center room 140 for assistance specifically related to Math 100. Pascal's is generally open noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday during Fall and Spring semesters.
  • THINK TANK offers free drop-in tutoring in McClelland Hall 203. Find the schedule here.
  • The Think Tank offers tutoring by appointment which is either Private ($35 an hour) or Group ($20 an hour per person). Private tutoring can be scheduled online.
  • There are about 10 Graduate Teaching Assistants available for tutoring and this can be found in the class syllabus.
  • There are pre-exam tutoring sessions that are taught by professionals or former teaching assistants. These sessions have a minimal fee per student.  Your professor can share more information with you. 
  • THINK TANK offers free drop-in tutoring in McClelland Hall 203. Find the schedule here.
  • The Think Tank offers tutoring by appointment which is either Private ($35 an hour) or Group ($20 an hour per person). Private tutoring can be scheduled online.
  • Professors hold weekly office hours.
  • Preceptors hold office hours at eight different times during the week.
  • Review sessions are held outside of class time before every exam for an additional fee.
  • Most of the above information can be found in the syllabus. Review sessions are posted as an announcement as the dates and times are subject to change. Please contact your instructor for specifics.

  • At the beginning of the semester, students can opt into the optional Accounting lab. This is strongly encouraged based on past student performance and student feedback.  Please see instructor for more information.
  • Instructors hold regular office hours that are posted in D2L.
  • Teaching Assistants (TAs) hold regular drop-in tutoring hours that are posted in D2L. 
  • The Accounting department offers a list of private tutors.
  • Accounting Student Association/Beta Alpha Psi offers tutoring services which are free and exam reviews that have a minimal fee. Details are posted and discussed in D2L.

Scheduled Advising Appointments

If you have questions regarding additional courses or academic concerns, please feel free to log into eSMS below and schedule an advising appointment to meet with your specific academic advisor.

  • 30-minute academic advising and career advising appointments available to Eller students
  • New appointments are posted each Wednesday morning for the upcoming week
  • Advising appointments take place in McClelland Hall Room 201 or can be completed via phone or Zoom when a student is unable to attend in person
