The Badinehal Executive Speakers’ Series brings accomplished leaders to campus to share their experiences, perspectives and lessons in leadership with students, alumni and the broader community.
Through engaging conversations with executives from a range of industries, the series offers attendees a firsthand look at the opportunities, challenges and decisions that shape successful careers and organizations. Each event will provide an opportunity to hear directly from leaders about their professional journeys and the experiences that have influenced their approach to leadership.
Events are complimentary and open to students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members.

Venkat (Vinnie) Badinehal serves as the Global Head of the Financial Institutions Group within Global Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets. Based in New York, he specializes in providing strategic, capital markets, balance sheet and M&A advisory services to financial institutions clients. Prior to joining RBC in 2017, he was a Managing Director and Head of the Financial Institutions Group in the Americas at Deutsche Bank and a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group.
Vinnie has served as an advisor on some of the industry’s most notable transactions. He has been part of over 250 M&A and capital markets transactions globally with an aggregate transaction value of greater than $750 billion.
Vinnie is a proud alumnus of the Eller School where he received his Bachelor’s degree. In 2025, he received the Wildcat Career Champion Award for his support of a number of initiatives including recruiting Eller students, the Wall Street Scholars program and supporting the Professional Development Center. He is also pleased to be sponsoring the Badinehal Executive Speakers’ Series.
Vinnie also has an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he was an Emerging Economies Fellow. At Wharton, he was the founding Chairman of the Wharton-India Economic Forum and currently serves on the advisory board of the forum.
