The Information Assurance and Security Education Center promotes cybersecurity through education, training and research.

Designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security, IASEC offers faculty, students and the community resources to study and address the cyber vulnerabilities of our nation’s information infrastructure. The IASEC team works collaboratively to promote responsible information and cybersecurity practice through curriculum development, industry partnerships, cutting-edge research and outreach.

In recognition of the Information Assurance and Security Education Center's emphasis on academic research in technology and computer science, the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security designated the University of Arizona as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense.

The Cybersecurity Board of Advisors provides an effective mechanism for communication and collaboration between the IASEC and its business partners. The Board offers feedback and support on the IASEC's resources for studying our nation's cyber vulnerabilities.
