Alex Sinclair '26 (Marketing and Information Sciences & eSociety) was a Consulting Summer Analyst at Accenture in Chicago, IL.

No housing support, both in finding one or financial.

What was the process for getting this internship, job, or summer experience?

Three rounds of interviews: initial screening, phone call screening, with the final interview being 2h long and divided into 4 sections. I had an externship that summer prior which helped by skipping the first screening.

What was a typical day like?

Different every day. Consulting has that nature.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

The people! Loved the work, but the people made it amazing. I also got to travel to Atlanta 3x, and there were many social events to grow your network!

If you worked on a big project, please describe it below:

NDAs signed. Two projects within pharma, in sourcing & procurement.

What did you find most challenging?

Advanced Excel & PowerBI. Would be nice if I had some predisposition to PowerBI prior, I came in with decent Excel skills.

What did you learn?

A lot. Mainly within pharma, but also did internal projects across Gen AI and fleet management.

What advice do you have for other students looking for a similar experience, or advice for future students to be successful?

Join ACC and AZSP early, either as a freshman or sophomore, and get involved!!

How did Eller prepare you for this experience?

Excel. And ACC & AZSP (Eller clubs).
