The Eller Undergraduate Programs took a group of students on a study trek over Spring Break last week. They toured multiple companies and got a glimpse of life living and working in Chicago. Many students shared their experience on LinkedIn, below is a post from Chloe Waugaman '28 Business Economics

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to visit Chicago and tour 8 incredible companies across different industries with a group of likeminded students from University of Arizona, Eller College of Management: BD, EchoLogistics, Northern Trust, Goldman Sachs, Protiviti, TechNexus Venture Collaborative, CDW and PepsiCo. The experience was an amazing reminder that learning doesn’t just happen in classrooms it happens when you step inside the places where ideas turn into real impact.

During the trip, we connected with professionals, heard honest career advice, and got a behind-the-scenes look at how teams collaborate, innovate, and solve real problems every day. Each company shared something unique, from their culture and growth stories to the challenges they’re tackling right now.

A few takeaways that stuck with me:
• The importance asking thoughtful questions
• How different paths can lead to meaningful careers
• The value of strong team culture

Huge thank you to all 8 companies and the professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to host us and share their insights. Your openness and advice made this experience incredibly valuable.

Also incredibly grateful to the organizers Alicia Menon and Leigh Weisshaupt, who coordinated an unbelievably memorable trip. Thank you as well to everyone who attended and made the experience not only insightful but also so much fun.

Looking forward to applying what we learned and staying connected with the amazing people we met along the way.
