Sandy Leeds is a member of the Finance Department faculty at the University of Arizona. He teaches Money and Capital Markets (soon to be renamed Current Events in Capital Markets) and focuses on the economy, financial markets, monetary policy, and fiscal policy.

Before joining the Eller College faculty, he spent 23 years at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where he served as President of The MBA Investment Fund, L.L.C. for 13 years. At Texas, he was recognized as one of the “Texas Ten” (the ten most inspirational faculty members on campus) and as a Provost Teaching Fellow. He received the Outstanding Professor Award in multiple programs, including the full-time MBA, evening MBA, MBA programs in Houston and Dallas, as well as the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) and Master of Science in Marketing (MSM) programs.

Sandy is the co-author of Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management (11th and 12th editions). He is a frequent conference speaker and has provided consulting services to public companies, hedge funds, and mutual funds. He also publishes a free weekly summary of market news on his personal website.  He holds a B.S. from The University of Alabama, a J.D. from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the University of Texas.
