Harvesting, the process of gathering mature crops, is crucial for providing food and impacts the economy through the use of land, labor, and machinery. Books like Tops & Bottoms by Janet Stevens and Jayden’s Impossible Garden by Mélina Mangal help illustrate these economic concepts. This workshop will feature engaging activities centered around harvesting, including a fun market lesson, to help students explore markets, productive resources, goods, and services. K-5 classroom teachers in attendance will receive a featured book of their choice.
