Applications are Live for the 2020-2021 New Venture Development Program Cohort

Applications for the prestigious New Venture Development Program at the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona are now live. Open to all University of Arizona undergraduate, graduate and PhD students from any field of study, this year-long program teaches the principles of entrepreneurship. Then, under the mentorship of faculty and mentors, students build an idea from early-stage to launch-ready venture.

New Venture Development Program students have an exciting range of events and competitions they can choose to participate in. These include regional and national business plan competitions, an Innovation Expo tradeshow on the University of Arizona Mall and the program finale, the McGuire New Venture Competition and Showcase where students compete for over $40,000 in cash and prizes.

There are no prerequisite classes required to apply for the McGuire New Venture Development Program, but you should apply at a specific time in your studies. For undergraduate students, the best time to apply is during your junior year to participate your senior year. For graduate students, apply in the penultimate year of study to participate during the final year. Doctoral students should apply during any year of study.

Applications are open until November 4, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. and interviews will be held on November 14 and 15. Acceptances will be announced December 2.
