Master of Science in Economics – Emphasis on Data and Digital Markets
We are committed to making graduate education accessible to talented students from all backgrounds. If the $90 application fee presents a financial hardship, applicants to the Master of Science in Economics may request a fee waiver under the following policy:
Who is eligible?
Applicants who:
- Are experiencing financial hardship, and
- Intend to enroll in the program if admitted
How it works:
- Prospective students may request a waiver before submitting their application by completing our Fee Waiver Request Form.
- If approved, the $90 application fee will be covered through a scholarship, which will be applied to the student’s account on the first day of classes upon enrollment.
- This scholarship acts as a reimbursement, not a cash refund, and is contingent on actual enrollment.
Additional Details:
- If your waiver is approved, you will still need to pay the application fee up front.
- Fee waivers are limited and granted on a case-by-case basis.
- Students may reach out to the program director or admissions team with questions or special circumstances (economics@arizona.edu)
International Applicants
The Eller College welcomes the cultural experience and knowledge that international applicants add to the program. In addition to the materials listed in the Application Requirements, international applicants are required to submit the following:
- An official transcript and an official copy of diploma(s) and/or degree certification, in the original native language and must be accompanied by an officially verified English translation issued by the university or college
- Financial guarantee.
If you are an international applicant and/or would like to be considered for a scholarship, we encourage you to apply by the first deadline. All international applicants must apply by the noted deadline to be considered for admission.
