Eller MBA Alumni
BS Business/Managerial Economics and BS Entrepreneurship, The University of Arizona
I’ve been a Wildcat fan for as long as I can remember, so it was only natural to begin my college education with a dual degree in business economics and entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona Eller College of Management.
After graduating in 2009, I launched my career with AT&T in its Leadership & Technology Development program before transferring to Silicon Valley to work in the mobile and cloud technology space in a sales and consulting role for five years. I then left the Fortune 15 company for a small software start-up to diversify my skillset, with an emphasis on strategic business development, data analytics and emerging technology.
Hungry for increased leadership roles and energized to expand my breadth of responsibilities, I entered the Eller MBA program in 2017. I wanted a pragmatic and practical program rooted in real life experiences, with networking and research knew Eller was the place for me.
The Eller MBA program proved to be exactly what I was looking for. With a real-world approach to coursework and a diverse cohort, Eller provided me the well-rounded toolkit I use in my career today. It proved the perfect combination of tactical skills – finance, accounting, marketing and technology – and professional development. The Eller cohort provided perspectives and backgrounds across multiple industries and experience levels, helping me learn how to bring people together to achieve both individual and business success.
I use this training every day in my position with Shamrock Foods Company as the Director of National & Systems Accounts. Since 2018, I lead the team that oversees the largest customers in the company and am responsible for everything from logistics and operations to business development. On any given day I work with a varied group of people, much like my Eller cohort, and attribute my continued success to the skillset gained in the Eller MBA program.
Please feel free to reach out to me about the Eller MBA program, dual degrees, student involvement and really, anything University of Arizona related. I’d love to hear from you at email link.
